Chateaux of the Loire – Day Two: Chateau Sully-sur-Loire

Now THIS is what a castle is supposed to be! Visit the Chateau’s website and be sure to play the Presentation Clip and you too can experience what we did, traipsing up and down endless spiral stone staircases (hanging on to dear life to the rope “banisters” and taking it very slowly given my broken shoulder), admiring its grandeur, and enjoying it’s 700 year history.. As with many of the Loire chateaux, it was built and rebuilt after having been destroyed in revolutions and wars, and then restored and refurbished in the modern era.
