can change with age

what is thought insignificant

in youth can, in later years,

become fond even life-

affirming memories

what was just a kiss

is later a love never forgotten

what was just a chat

becomes a tender memory of someone lost

what was just a song

turns into a portal to a different time

what was just words on paper

can give voice to one who no longer lives
